Democrat House Scandals: Where's the Media?

Liberal media outlets crow about crooked Republicans in Congress but give liberal Democrats get a free ride. So, here are three liberal scandals brewing.

Louisiana Democrat, REP William J. Jefferson is the subject of an on-going investigation in which his former aide pled guilty to bribery related charges that involved misusing federal Katrina relief funds. Six other aides have been subpoenaed by a US District Court.

The top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee, REP Alan B. Mollohan, resigned his post because his finances are the subject of a federal investigation. He may have steered $178 million in federal funds to groups associated with his campaign. That's $178 million of our tax dollars.

Two former aides of Democrat REP John Conyers filed complaints stating they were forced to do personal chores on the job, including baby-sitting. US taxpayers pay these people's salaries. This means us.

Just Like Rush?

With all the Liberal and media outcry recently about the Rush Limbaugh drug "investigation", a question comes to mind.

What about Patrick "Patty" Kennedy?

If it turns out Patty Kennedy is addicted to and abusing prescription drugs, do you think he'll be treated the same as Rush Limbaugh?

Will a Republican prosecutor investigate how Patty K. obtained his drugs and whether or not he was doing so ethically and legally? When Rush was found to be addicted, a Democratic attorney investigated and charged him because of how Rush obtained his drugs.

Will liberals decry Patty K as a liar and hypocrite? After all, Patty K. serves in Congress, has voted on issues related to drug crimes, federal sentencing guidelines, etc. Of course, when Rush was found to have an all-too-human weakness, he was decried by liberals as a phony. Patty K. must be a phony, too.

Given the way Rush Limbaugh has been pilloried because of his addiction to legal painkillers, let's hope for Patty K's sake he was just drunk off his ass. That's something we've all come to expect from a Kennedy, and being Teddy's son . . . well, you get the picture.
