Liberal Media Strikes Again
But if you read what he actually said, he only disagreed with the rationale used for the invasion, not the decision itself. Not that the Liberalidiots are going to emphasize that aspect.
And just for the sake of argument, let's say that President Ford had been 100% in favor of our invasion of Iraq. Does anyone think that would have been reported? Of course not. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the American public would have no idea the interview existed.
And if anyone believes otherwise, you're deluding yourself.

Good News You May Have Missed
Tell this to a liberal!! (Better yet, share these stats with undecided voters.)
STOCKS RISING: Dow Jones average is up 9.1% this year.
STOCK MARKET RECORD HIGHS: its about to break its all time high record
LOW UNEMPLOYMENT: the rate remains steady at a historically low 4.7%
HIGH ECONOMIC GROWTH RATE: over 4.0% in 2006 (Jan-June) Higher than most of Europe and Japan!
DURABLE-GOODS (vehicles, computers, machinery etc.) HIGHER TODAY than 2005: orders 8.5% above last year’s rate (Jan-Aug period): signals healthy productivity
MONTHLY HOME SALES RISE: pace of new home sales in August rose 4.1% from July: might signal a stabilizing real estate market if trend holds.
PRICE OF FUEL: dropping.
Why do the media blame President Bush when gas prices rise but not give him credit when prices go down? Why is it liberals want to convince ignorant voters that President Bush can make prices go lower for political purposes? Let's think logically: If Bush has such influence over big oil, why let prices rise so high and damage himself politically to begin with?
Oh, wait. I know. Liberals never have to be logical, consistent, or make fact-based claims.

Family of Scumbag Hires Lawyer
On September 28, Polk County (Lakeland, FL) Sheriff's Deputy Matthew Williams and his K-9 partner Diogi were gunned down by alleged human being Angilo Freeland after a routine traffic stop. Deputy Williams was shot execution-style eight (8) times at point-blank range (including once in the back of the head and once in the temple) with his own service revolver. This "man" also shot and wounded another Deputy and exchanged fire with a Lakeland Police Detective.
A massive manhunt took place, and the next day he was found hiding beneath a fallen oak tree in the woods near the scene of the shootings. SWAT Team members ordered him to show his hands. Instead, he pulled his gun and was shot and killed. Of the 110 bullets fired by the SWAT Team, 68 found their mark.
Freeland was known to always carry a firearm and was heavily involved in the illegal drug trade.
Now, his suddenly concerned family has hired somewhat big-time lawyer Grady Irvin. They're requesting an independent investigation be started to determine why their son had to be shot 68 times.
So, they'd like to know who decided their son deserved to die, huh? How about asking who decided that Deputy Williams and Diogi deserved to die?
The family stated they had no contact with their son for several years prior to this incident and knew nothing of his recent activities. I'm sorry, but that's no excuse. Maybe if they'd been as concerned about his life as they were about his death, this tragedy needn't have happened. By tragedy, I mean the loss of life to the Police Officers, not their murderer.
And maybe if you'd done a better job of raising your son, he wouldn't have become a drug dealer and cop killer.
I say the parents should be made to pay for every dime that went into the investigation and manhunt for this dirtbag. I also believe that they should be made to pay for the officer's funerals and pay restitution to the Deputy's family. Deputy Williams was murdered on his wife's birthday.
The family of this cop killer deserves nothing but contempt. The only surprising part of all this nonsense is that we didn't have Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton down here holding Press Conferences and demanding accountability from the Police. Thank God for small favors.
The only thing I'd ask of the police is this: Why did you miss 42 times?

Democrat House Scandals: Where's the Media?
Louisiana Democrat, REP William J. Jefferson is the subject of an on-going investigation in which his former aide pled guilty to bribery related charges that involved misusing federal Katrina relief funds. Six other aides have been subpoenaed by a US District Court.
The top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee, REP Alan B. Mollohan, resigned his post because his finances are the subject of a federal investigation. He may have steered $178 million in federal funds to groups associated with his campaign. That's $178 million of our tax dollars.
Two former aides of Democrat REP John Conyers filed complaints stating they were forced to do personal chores on the job, including baby-sitting. US taxpayers pay these people's salaries. This means us.
Just Like Rush?
What about Patrick "Patty" Kennedy?
If it turns out Patty Kennedy is addicted to and abusing prescription drugs, do you think he'll be treated the same as Rush Limbaugh?
Will a Republican prosecutor investigate how Patty K. obtained his drugs and whether or not he was doing so ethically and legally? When Rush was found to be addicted, a Democratic attorney investigated and charged him because of how Rush obtained his drugs.
Will liberals decry Patty K as a liar and hypocrite? After all, Patty K. serves in Congress, has voted on issues related to drug crimes, federal sentencing guidelines, etc. Of course, when Rush was found to have an all-too-human weakness, he was decried by liberals as a phony. Patty K. must be a phony, too.
Given the way Rush Limbaugh has been pilloried because of his addiction to legal painkillers, let's hope for Patty K's sake he was just drunk off his ass. That's something we've all come to expect from a Kennedy, and being Teddy's son . . . well, you get the picture.

Disaster Survival . . . The Right Way
THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A MOMENT
North Dakota News
This text is from a county emergency manager out in the western part of North Dakota state after the recent snow storm.
WEATHER BULLETIN
Up here in the Northern Plains we just recovered from a Historic event --- may I even say a "Weather Event" of "Biblical Proportions" --- with a historic blizzard of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 MPH that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands.
FYI:
George Bush did not come....
FEMA did nothing
No one howled for the government
No one blamed the government
No one even uttered an expletive on TV
Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit
Our Mayors did not blame Bush or anyone else
Our Governor did not blame Bush or anyone else either
CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC did not visit - or report on this category 5 snow storm
Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards
No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House
No one looted
Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something
Nobody expected the government to do anything either
No Larry King, No Bill O'Reilly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera
No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Streisand, No Hollywood types to be found
And
Nope, we just melted the snow for water
Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars
The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a penny
Local restaurants made food and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snow bound families
Families took in the stranded people - total strangers
We Fired up wood stoves
Broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns
We put on an extra layers of clothes because up here it is "Work or Die"
We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for 'sittin at home' checks.
Even though a Category "5" blizzard of this scale has never fallen this early, we know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves.
"In my many travels, I have noticed that once one gets north of about 48 degrees North Latitude, 90% most of the world's social problems evaporate."
It does seem that way, at least to me. I hope this gets passed on.
Maybe, SOME people will get the message: The world does not owe you a living.
Can I get an "amen"??

Customer says, "Female"
Counter guy asks, "Black or white?" Customer says, "White"
Counter guy asks, "Christian or Muslim?"

Halftime Super Bowl Thoughts
But I'll take it. I've gotta believe the Steelers are saving the blitzes for the 2nd half. I'm right, aren't I? Please tell me I'm right. We can't continue to count on Seattle shooting themselves in the foot the entire game.
And yes, we got lucky on the offensive pass interference call in the end zone. That's right, the Steeler fan said it.
Not much more to say at this point, other than to repeat the phrase I'd rather be lucky than good. And good was the last thing we were in the first half.
Here we go Steelers, here we go!!!
First Quarter Super Bowl Thoughts
The running game is going nowhere (again), so it's time to open it up on offense. And quit pussyfooting around on defense.
Oh, great. Now Mike Logan's out for the game.
More at halftime, if I can tear myself away from the Rolling Stones.

One Quarter to Go for my Steelers
And maybe my heart will hold out.

Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go
I thought we might have a lead, but 24-3?
Let's just hope we don't start playing stupid, like parts of the 2nd half against Indy last week.
GO STEELERS!!!

Steelers Up 10-0, Lookin' Good So Far
Here we go, Steelers, etc.
Steelers Get First Break
Now, can we put in for six?

Christmas Greetings
Christmas Greetings for Liberals / Democrats:
"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. And without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting these greetings you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself or himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher."
Christmas Greetings for Republicans / Conservatives:
Here's wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Who's to Blame?
Well, the Jennifer Porter case has come to an end.
For those of you who haven't followed the case, here are the basics:
On March 31, 2004, (Jennifer) Porter was driving her Toyota Echo through a dimly lit intersection on 22nd Street (Tampa, FL) when she struck four siblings (of the Mother, Lisa Watkins). . . . She said the road was dark and she was afraid to stop. The two children who were killed were aged 13 and 3.
Yes, it's a tragedy that this poor woman lost two of her children. And the media have gone out of their way to portray the Mother as the victim.
But riddle me this, Batman: How many of you out there were allowed to roam the streets when you were three? I know I wasn't. I don't care if his (13-year-old) brother was with him or not? WHAT WAS A THREE-YEAR-OLD CHILD DOING OUT AT THAT HOUR?
If I were in charge, the "poor" Mother would've been charged with child abuse, or at least child endangerment. Well, she's not poor anymore. She settled out of court, and now has a beautiful home in Land O'Lakes.
Let me get this straight. This woman neglects her children, and she's the one who benefits.
So, Jennifer Porter "gets away" with no jail time. It must be racism, of course. At least, that's what our poor mother has to say about it, among other things.
My advice: fut the shuck up. Relax in the new home you got due to your negligence and count your money.
If only you'd had so much concern for your children before you let them run loose. Let's hope your guilt is equal (IF NOT MORE!!!) to Jennifer Porter's.
Spare me your martyrdom.
I'd write more, but I need to go throw up.
Here's a link to a story about the case, if you can stomach it.
Living A Free Life?
FSU Lives Down to Expectations
Drew definitely took a few steps backward, maybe more than a few.
Here's my new Mantra: They're a young team.
The Conference Championship game should be a blast.
It's too depressing to write anymore.

For PETA's Sake
"Ethical" Defined
After more than 100 dead dogs were dumped in a trash dumpster over four weeks, police in Ahoskie, N.C., kept an eye on the trash receptacle behind a supermarket. Sure enough, a van drove up and officers watched the occupants throw in heavy plastic bags. They detained the two people in the van and found 18 dead dogs in plastic bags in the dumpster, including puppies; 13 more dead dogs were still in the van. Police say the van is registered to the headquarters of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and the two occupants, Andrew B. Cook, 24, and Adria Joy Hinkle, 27, identified themselves as PETA employees. An autopsy performed on one of the dogs found it was healthy before it was killed. Police say PETA has been picking up the animals -- alive -- from North Carolina animal shelters, promising to find them good homes. Cook and Hinkle have been charged with 62 felony counts of animal cruelty. In response to the arrests PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said it's against the group's policy for employees to dump animals in the trash, but "that for some animals in North Carolina, there is no kinder option than euthanasia." (Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald) ...Oops, my mistake: that's "Playing God" Defined.
In his author's notes section, Cassingham had more to say about this story:
The more I learn about PETA, the less I think of them. The story of them killing animals isn't even unusual. According to PETA's own filings, in 2004 PETA killed 86.3 percent of the animals entrusted to its care -- a number that's rising, not falling. Meanwhile, the SPCA in PETA's home town (Norfolk, Va.) was able to find loving homes for 73 percent of the animals put in its care. A shortage of funds? Nope: last year PETA took in $29 million in tax-exempt donations. It simply has other priorities for the funds, like funding terrorism (yes, really). But don't take my word for it: I got my figures from http://www.PETAkillsAnimals.com -- and they have copies of PETA's state and federal filings to back it up. The bottom line: if you donate money to PETA because you think they care for and about animals, you need to think some more. PETA literally yells and screams about how others "kill animals" but this is how they operate? Pathetic.
And you know what I wonder? PETA's official count of animals they kill is 86.3 percent. But if they're going around picking up animals, killing them while they drive around and not even giving them a chance to be adopted, and then destroying the evidence by dumping the bodies in the trash, are those deaths being reported? My guess: no. While 86.3 percent is awful, the actual number is probably much, much higher. How dare they lecture anyone about the "ethical" treatment of animals!(This is True is a weekly column featuring weird-but-true news stories from around the world, and has been published since 1994.
